Running to Stand Still: Migrants Search for Hope in the Promised Land, a documentary film about the humanitarian crisis on the U.S. / Mexico border.  Running seeks to put a human face on the immigration “issue” by telling heartbreaking and inspiring stories about the migrants themselves—courageous and dignified human beings whose lives stand as a powerful rebuke to a narrative that is fraught with hatred, alarmist rhetoric, and dehumanizing stereotypes. Running To Stand Still is intended to stimulate a thoughtful, non-hysterical conversation among Americans from all walks of life as to what it truly means to be a “nation of immigrants” at this point in our nation’s history. We learned that - Running To Stand Still is the much-anticipated follow-up to the director's 2021 short film , Oh Mercy – Searching for Hope in the Promised Land (10 minutes). We're gonna screen this short film first, as they tie so nicely together. No worries about a long chilly night though, together the two films are still under an hour.

Join us after the film for a respectful open discussion with guest speakers.
